faq

Is Ink Dish dinnerware microwave and dishwasher safe?
Yes. Ink Dish is designed to be used everyday and is both microwave and dishwasher safe.

How is the design applied to dinnerware?
The design is applied as an Inglaze Decal. There are a number of advantages to this. From a usability point of view the decal is fired at a temperature just at the melting point of the glaze which allows it to actually sink in giving it extraordinary durability for everyday use and in the dishwasher. From a design point of view, the decal is developed photographically from the original art to give the most accurate reproduction. No other method would have done as faithful a job to capture the feeling of the original art.

Ink Dish dinnerware is microwave and dishwasher safe 'A' quality porcelain

Where is Ink Dish dinnerware made?
Ink Dish is designed in San Diego California. After speaking with factories in multiple countries Ink Dish selected the top ceramic company in Bangladesh. Our partner factory has passed extensive compliance audits from Macy's in the US, Debenham's in the UK and other top retailers throughout the world. The factory helps employ hundreds of people who would not normally have work. This helps feed their families in a country where there are not many other options. No child or forced labor is ever used, all are paid a fair wage, given three breaks per day with food, mid morning, lunch and mid afternoon, or the equivalent in the evening shifts. There are medical facilities on site with a full time doctor which can be used by the family members of the employees. The factory is ISO9001 compliant which, as well as being a quality standard, requires extensive documenting and training on proper work practices.
