We are thrilled to be back in Elle Decor. The last time we partnered with ED we received over 125,000 entries for Alyson Fox’s tug pattern. 125 thousand! I thought it was a typo at first.
Elle Decor is the ultimate guide to decorating and design and we are exicited to hear them describe Cherry Ink as a way to, “add a burst of blooms to the table with this pretty service for four”.
The Cherry Ink porcelain dinnerware set offers a fresh take on traditional botanical patterns. The collection was designed by tattoo artist Paul Timman, whose soft, painterly strokes evoke springtime cherry blossoms.
Enter to win a service for four before May 21st and it’s too late:

It’s been a busy couple of days on the Ink Dish website thanks to great writeup by Whitney Matheson who blogs for USA Today on “pop culture & hidden treasures”.
I like the way these items overlap with the art world: Pop reader Caroline P. told me about a small company she started with her husband called Ink Dish that puts designs by contemporary underground artists onto dinnerware.
“We’re hopefully changing people’s perception of what decoration can be and creating some pretty awesome modern functional art,” she says.
The first two collections are pretty great: One is by Hollywood tattoo artist Paul Timman; the other comes from Austin artist Alyson Fox.

It is fantastic to get written about by people in the industry. International Tableware and Nouveau by Homeworld Business News are well respected industry publications that have supported us from the beginning. We appreciate all the ink and the chance to have our small company side by side with the giants in the industry.
Our latest spread in Nouveau features the release of Alyson Fox’s line.
In International Tableware Caroline is interviewed on her views on the US market. Growing up in the UK and still splitting time, Caroline gets a unique inside view of both markets and how the trends move back and fourth.
“Style wise design in the UL seems to use cooler oculars and less cover, while in the US there are far more hand painted themes – lots of rousers, etc. However, the US has within it many markets so there are strong regional variations in colour palette and style, which makes generalizations difficult.” Read the whole article here:
